Killeen) (1) Find that the action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act under State CEQA Guidelines Categorical Exemption Section 15301 Existing Facilities (Class 1) and Section 15061 (b)(3) (Common Sense Exemption). (2) Approve First Reading and Adoption of Emergency Ordinance Authorizing Chief Executive Officer to execute such agreement. (3) Declare this Ordinance an Emergency.

    The early-1970s building was seismically retrofitted in 1991 using cutting edge knowledge for that period. Although no further earthquake retrofit may be required, the Port should consider an independent review using current seismic methodology to confirm the scope and condition of the earlier work and support long-term maintenance and investment decisions.
