The Board of Harbor Commissioners of the City of Long Beach will hold a Special Meeting pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. HD-2181, Article VII.B and Government Code Section 54956 on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 9:30am. Meeting held at no physical location pursuant to Executive Order N-08-21. The Board of Harbor Commissioners will participate in the meeting by video conference. The Civic Chambers will NOT be accessible for public observance of the meeting or public comment pursuant to Executive Order N-08-21 issued by Governor Newsom on June 11, 2021. Members of the public can observe the meeting via webcast at polb.com/webcast. Members of the public are invited to participate in the meeting during public comment or on a specific agenda item via teleconference by calling the following number: (562) 714-9893 or by emailing bhc@polb.com. If calling, you will be asked to leave a voicemail with your name (please state it clearly), your telephone number for a return call and the item number you would like to comment on (or specify "public comment"). If emailing, please include your name, your telephone number for a return call and the item number you would like to comment on (or specify "public comment"). You will be called during the meeting on the item you specify. If you do not answer when called, we will move on to the next public speaker. Please note that each speaker will be given the usual 3 minutes to address the Board. All public comment requests need to be submitted at the latest 15 minutes prior to the start of the meeting on the day of the meeting. Public will also have the option to use eCOMMENT to provide comments on agenda items. HD-21-377 Authorize the Executive Director to execute the Memorandum of Agreement and Approve an administrative agreement between the City, the Health Department, the Harbor Department and Carnival Corporation to ensure that adequate resources are available to address Covid-19 situations that may arise due to cruise ship operations by Carnival at the Port of Long Beach in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention orders.
